Op Zaterdag 22 Augustus (om 10:19 Nederlandse tijd) was er een amateur radio contact vanaf het Internationale Ruimte Station ISS (te ontvangen in Nederland) met de Girl & Boys Scouts club in Zwitserland. Een astronaut van het Ruimte Station bemanning (crew 20) heeft vragen van de scouts beantwoord.

De ISS HAM radio in detail

Aangezien het ruimtestation rond dat tijdstip op circa 350 km boven Europa hing, wisten we de signalen prima te ontvangen hier in Nederland. Met een kleine rondstraler was het signaal al goed te horen. In het Ruimte Station is een Kenwood TM-D700 in gebruik, en de downlink frequentie is 145.800 MHz (FM).
